00.09.1931: joined the Foreign Legion in Gap
00.00.1931-00.00.1932: served in the 6th Company of the 1st Foreign Infantry Regiment (1er REI)
00.00.1932-00.09.1933: assigned to the pioneer sapper company of the 2e REI stationed in Morocco - took part in the Koucer battle
00.00.1935: transferred to the 6th company of the 2nd battalion of the 3rd Foreign Infantry Regiment in Morocco
00.12.1937: promoted to Légionnaire de 1re classe / 1st class legionnaire
01.02.1940: promoted to Caporal / Corporal - joined the 13th Marching Demi-brigade of the Foreign Legion in the 14th company and then in the 2nd company of the 14th Battalion to take part in the Norwegian campaign
28.05.1940: WIA in the battles of Bjervik and Narvik
00.06.1940: evacuated to Harstad (Norway)
15.06.1940: returned to England with the entire French expeditionary force returning from Scandinavia and joined the Free French Forces to continue the fight
00.07.1940: promoted to Caporal-Chef / master corporal, took part in all the commitments of his unit, the 14th Demi-brigade of the Foreign Legion (14th DBLE) which became the 13th DBLE
00.09.1940: in Dakar then in Cameroon
15.03.1941: KIA in Keren in the Engiahat battles during the Eritrean campaign against the Italians as part of General Monclar's French Brigade in the Orient
