Biography

Herbert Linton served as a Fireman Second Class on board the USS Canopus (AS-9). After the ship was severely damaged on December 29th, 1941 and scuttled , he and his surviving comrades joined the ground forces in defense of Bataan and Corregidor. He was captured by the Japanese and interned as a Prisoner of War.
