Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 487 (R.N.Z.A.F.) Sqdn

On May 3, 1943 at 4:43 p.m., the Lockheed Ventura AE731 "EG-O" of 487 Squadron took off from Methwold in the county of Norfolk to take part in an attack on the Amsterdam-Noord power station.
At 5:45 p.m. the plane was shot down by a German night fighter
crashed near Haarlem.
Three crew members survived the crash.
Tattam was killed.
