Biography

Joachim Oxner was born April 19th, 1914 in Merseburg/Saale. Later on he studied history and teacher of language und literature. After finishing his studies he must go to the army. In 1939 he came to Krefeld / Rhinland, where his Saxony batallion recovered from the Polish campaign. Here he met Marta Kramer and in 1942 they maried. In April 1943 he had to go to Russia and there he died on january 28th, 1944 in Borrussov/Russia, without beeing at home since that time. In the meantime a little daughter was born on October, 25th 1943.
