Biography

Wilhelm Seidel, born on 3rd September 1912, served with the German Army from 1st April 1933 until 8th May 1945. He took part in the Battles for Poland, France, the Soviet Union and Eastern Prussia. He finally achieved the rank of Leutnant.
After the war he was a month as Prisoner of War to the Americans at Eger.

After the war he returned to his wife and son at Bielefeld. He worked as a commercial clerk after several retraining courses, a job he held until 1970.
Wilhelm Seidel died on 19th April 1992.
