"Captain Sheodan Singh has consistently shown the greatest coolness and courage in leading his troop in action in the stickiest situation he always remained unruffled. He particularly distinguished himself in MEIKTILA where despite having had his tank hit and his lap gunner killed he handled his troop so effectively that two 70mm guns and one MG were knocked out. In subsequent actions he has displayed similar tenacity on purpose when fighting his tank in spite of casualties to his crew. His whole work during the period under review deserves the highest praise and recognition."
