    Biography

    Kenneth Lambert was Flight Engineer with RAF Bomber Command.
    He was posted at No.640 Squadron RAF (Leconfield) when on May 28th, 1944 Halifax LK865 was airborne 23:56 hrs 27.04.1944 from Leconfield, tasked to bomb the military camp at Bourg-Leopold. The aircraft was shot down by a night-fighter, crashing 02:28 hrs near the port of Antwerp.
    Also on board was Flying Officer Williams
    Of the seven men on board, three men were killed, four men survived the war as PoW.
