17   08.30 hours. "B" Squadron and "A" Squadron Groups held up by Bridge demolitions over BEEK south east of MERSELA and HAAG. "A" Squadron heavily mortared and "minnied" all day. "C" Squadron Group pushed south down track at 739251 and after engaging a platoon position south of feature 38.6 reach the main road at last light, engaging 4 x SPs in Pond Wood, 7323. Withdraw behind feature 38.6 for night harbour. "B" Squadron collect 12 PWs from 100 Cavalry Training Battalion.
