CUYK 714492 2   CO held conference 900hrs. OP established 718498 & advance of US Airborne tps was observed towards MIDDELAAR 7448. Enemy shelled CUYK periodically throughout the day. A Coy sustained 4 OR casualties - 1 killed & 3 wounded, & D Coy 1 OR wounded. Bn HQ moved to CUYK 714492 at 1500hrs arriving 1530hrs. Enemy aircraft were active during the evening when bombs were dropped on the opposite side of the river at 2105hrs and again at 2140hrs. No reports were receivedas to the exact locality. Weather cold at night but fine during the day.
