HORNSEA 2   All Offrs attended conference at BRIDLINGTON on Exercise “Eagle” given by the Corps Commander.
3   Lt G.E. Gibbs and 10 ORs were attached to a unit of the American Army until 17 March 1944. A simliar party of Americans were attached to our unit.
10   Packing Demn on use of packing cases and loading of trucks given to QM, RQMS and Coy CQMSs by a Corps team.
8-11   Exercise Beverley 1V. Wireless Exercise. Adjt only took part.
18   Bn given further operational role – “Hull Assistance Group” Appx “A”
22   Maj T.N.S. Reid proceeded on course to School of Inf, at Barnard Castle. Commencement of Exercise Frederick Uncle 1V (Bn moving South to ALDERSHOT area)
22   Adv Party under QM move off 0700 hrs. Appx “B”
22   Exercise “York”. The King, Queen and Princess Elizabeth inspected 159 Inf Bde at DRIFFIELD aerodrome.
25   CO proceeded on leave.
HORNSEA 27 0638 Bn Main Party move by road to ALDERSHOT staging night 27/28 Mar at LUTTERWORTH and arriving ALDERSHOT 1800 hrs 28 Mar 44. Appx “C” Appx “D”
27   Lt G.E. Gibbs appointed IO vice Lt G.E. Spooner.
28   Lt G.E. Gibbs proceeded to 'I' Course at MATLOCK for 8 days.
