7   O.C. and 14 O.Rs of 3 Br Inf Div postal Unit disembarked on Moon Beach, LION SUR MER, NORMANDY.
8   F.P.Os opened in France to serve 3 Br Inf Div Units.
9   Inward mails received from U.K. collected with rations by Unit Post Corporals from D.I.Ds Outward mails also despatched on this date.
10-11   Services normal.
12   First vehicles due ashore today (D + 6 ) i.e. 2 - 3 ton, did not arrive as scheduled.
13   Services normal.
14   8 O.Rs of 3 Br Inf Div Postal Unit embarked together with 2 – 3 ton vehicles and 2 – 15 cwt vehicles at GOSPORT.
14-16   No inward mails received on these dates. Attributable to shipping difficulties.
15   8 O.Rs of 3 Br Inf Div Postal Unit embarked together with 2 – 3 ton vehicles and 2 – 15 cwt vehicles disembarked at LION SUR MER, NORMANDY.
16   2 – 15 cwt vehicles and drivers arrived ashore today as scheduled, together with the 2 – 3 ton vehicles and 5 O.Rs due to arrive on 12 June, (D + 6). No difficulties experienced by drivers in getting ashore wetshod.
19, 20 & 2   No inward mails received – attributable to weather conditions and priority to ammunition.
23   Cessation of A.P.O. England address for Units of 21 Army Group. Force Address viz B.W.E.F. introduced (unofficially).
24-25   Services normal.
26   Delay being incurred on outward mail – taken up with A.D.A.P.S. 21 Army Group and A.D.A.P.S. Second Army. Attributable to shipping difficulties.
27-30   Inward mails received with greater regularity - transit times very satisfactory i.e. letters posted in U.K. on ‘A’ Day delivered to troops in B.W.E.F. on ‘E’ day.
