Biography

1939: campaign in Poland
1941-1943: campaign in Russia
1943: WIA then appointed to the DAK
1944-1945: POW in Egypt

After the Second World War, Alois Merxmüller devoted himself to the church. He bacame a priest in 1951 in Dillingen and was after that Primiz in Schweinspoint, Kaplan in the Wieskirche, Stadtprediger in Friedberg, Stadtpfarrer in Höchstädt, Pfarrer in Traubing, Dekan for the Dekanat Starnberg and Ruhestandsgeistlicher. He died on 5th December 2008 in the Central Hospital in Augsburg.
