Jürgen Glasow was killed in action on July 12th, 1943 when the "U 506", which he served on was sunk by the U.S. Army Air Corps A/S Squadron 1 (48T/6Ü) on the Northatlantic Ocean, west of Vigo at 42.30N // 16.30W - remaining crew : 48 KIA and 6 survivors
