15.05.1945: 'U 516', under Oberleutnant z.S. Friedrich Petran, left Loch Eriboll. The boat crossed over Loch Alsh to Lisahally.
17.05.1945: 'U 516' arrived in Lisahally and was handed over to the British and the remaining crew was taken prisoner of war.
'U 516' awaited sinking during the Operation Deadlight.
