Biography

KIFA 22 January, 1945 on a ferry flight from Poznan to Märkisch-Friedland, when his Fw 190 F-8 Werknummer 932.292 crashed in bad weather near Glienke, about 15 km northeast of Neubrandenburg, and burned on impact. The AC and Schmidt were found several days later, and he is buried in Glienke. 600+ missions.
