Serving with 2./ Panzer Regiment 'Hermann Göring' - Fallschirm-Panzer Division 'Hermann Göring', Oberfeldwebel and Panzerkommandant Albert Strassburger was probably WIA during the battle of Bautzen (21-26 April 1945) and died of his wounds in the medical train BVZ 603 (Behelfsmäßigen Verwundeten-Zuges Nr. 603) in Leitmeritz/Litoměřice - Czech Republic.
