Biography

1939 : reserve second lieutenant doctor assigned to Sedan Military Hospital.
June 1940 : POW in Sedan and liberated as a doctor.
21 June 1941 : enter the Free French Forces in Shanghai.
1942-43 : 1st Lieutenant in the 1st Compagnie autonome de chars de combat of the FFL, took part to the fightings in Syria, Egypt, Libya and Tunesia being cited 2 times.
Beginning 1943 : appointed to general Leclerc's 2e Division Blindée (2e DB) in the newly created 1st COY of the 501st Régiment de chars de combat (501e RCC).
July 1944 : campaign in Normandy.
August 1944 : liberation of Paris.
November 1944 : liberation of Strasbourg.
February-May 1945 : campaign in Germany being cited a 3rd time in Berchtesgaden as a captain.
1946 : again a civilian doctor in Morocco.
February 1950 : appointed surgeon in the hospital in Ouezzane and mobile doctor in a mobile sanitary group.
2nd January 1951 : disappeared and most probably drowned while trying to cross a wadi to help a wounded.
