“Major Otto Frank… launched a bold counterattack on his own initiative in the area northeast of Briansk. During this action he stormed at the head of his Grenadiers with machine-pistol in hand, and the oncoming Bolsheviks were pushed back. His success here enabled the smooth execution of a withdrawal movement in a sector that was under strong pressure by the enemy.”
