Biography

Before the Second World War, Karl Knöpfle studied to become a priest at a seminary in Munich. He was enlisted with the Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 99.

During the war, Karl Knöpfle was buried at the Hero Cemetery at Popowa. Up to this moment his remains have not been transferred to any German Warcemetery.
