Lived in Giessendam, Kerkweg 6. Son of Willem Loeve and Janna Verdoorn. Ironworker at the Merwede Shipyard in Hardinxveld.
On 3 May 1943, he was sentenced to death by the Police Court in Rotterdam for ‘extensive participation in the strike at the Merwede Shipyard in Hardinxveld near Dordrecht’. He was executed immediately afterwards, along with nine others, and buried in an unknown location.
His name is included in the Roll of Honour and is also mentioned on a memorial plaque at the old shipyard office. In November 2025, a memorial was erected near the site of the former shipyard in memory of the four executed employees of Scheepswerf de Merwede.
