    Biography

    Frits Treffers lived in Batavia, Dutch East indies and was married to Quirine Schulze (October 27th, 1912, Soerakarta, Dutch East indies - 1993, Vancouver, Canada). The couple had three children of whom one died at very young age. Frits Treffers was professional military and Kapitein der KNIL (Captain). He was during of right after the fightings at Tarakan killed or excecuted by the Japanese. At first he was buried at Tarakan but was later reburied at the Dutch Field of Honor Menteng Pulo.
