Heinrich Hechelmann followed a study medicin at the University of Münster which he ended as Dr.
During the Second World War he served as Fieldphysician, among others in the Soviet Union.
After the war he worked in several hospitals in Meppen and Essen. His final occupation was Oberatzt at the Philippustift in Essen. Also he was the club physician of the soccer club Rot-Weiss-Essen.
During his first marriage he became a father three times. After the death of his first wife he remarried.
He died of the consecuences from a car accident on 9th October 1973.
