Biography

After his studies in the Realgymnasium in Heilbronn, Konrad Heuss entered the Reichswehr as an Offizieranwärter, was Fahnenjunker in Ludwigsburg and passed the exam in the Kriegsschule in Dresden.
1936 : back to Heilbronn as Leutnant serving in the 14. Panzerjäger-Kompanie of the InfanterieRegiment 34.
Beginning December 1941 : with the Infanterie-Regiment 34 in the outskirts of Moskau.
13 December 1941 : Bataillon Kommandeur - IR.34 tasked and succeeded to protect a rearward movement of the 35. Inf.Div. and hold the main street of the Gorki village until the last German element.
27 March 1942 : RK awarded.
1943 : visit to the Hitlerjugend.
Fall 1943 : appointed as an Inspektionschef in the Kriegsschule in Potsdam.
1944 : trained at the Regimentsführer-Lehrgang.
End 1944 : Oberstleutnant and Kommandeur of the Füsilier-Regiment 34 - 35. Infanterie-Division stationned in Heilbronn.
KIA the 24 March 1945 in Langfuhr during fightings around Danzig.
Buried in the family grave in the main cemetery in Heilbronn.
