Took part in the operations 'France' with 4th SAS, 'Samwest' with second wave from 9th June 1944 until 12th June 1944, 'Grog' with 5th FFI on 20th June1944, 'Spenser' from 26th August until 14th September 1944 with Squadron 1, 'Franklin' from 24th December 1944 until 30th January 19451945 with Command Squadron and 'Amherst' from 4th April 1945 with 20/HQ Squadron, 4th SAS HQ Squadron Stick 20. He was wounded at Schoonloo, the Netherlands on 11th April 1945.
