Biography

Joined the FFL in Madagascar in January 1943. After regrouping in Gret Briatin he followed his training at Camberley in August 1943. On 8th August he was promoted to 'Sergent-chef'. He was involved in operations 'France' with 4th SAS and 'Dingson' in a landing of Jeeps from 3rd until 5th August 1944. In a crash with a glider on 5th August 1944 he was wounded and transferred to a hospital in Auray. Finally he took part in operation 'Amherst' from 4th until 20th April 1945 with 16/HQ Squadron, 4th SAS.
