Biography

Archie, who enlisted at Camp Perry (Ohio) on March 26, 1942, served during the World War II and retired from U.S. Steel McDonald Works. He was a member of St. Rose Church. Archie died at Shepherd of The Valley Care Center in Niles.

Sergeant Simeone Communications Sergeant, and his wire corporal, landed by glider in FRANCE on D-Day near STE-MERE-EGLISE, and has served with his battalion in directing communications from that time to date. Immediately upon landing, he salvaged all the essential items of signal equipment belonging to the organiztion and within a short time had made the necessary repairs so that each item was ready for combat operations."
