Biography

The artillery captain Camilo Vazquez Goldaraz, was assigned to the staff company of the 250 artillery regiment, stationed in Kiev. On August 1, 1942, he was promoted to major, and took the command of the IV Artillery Group -12 heavy howitzers of 150 mm. with destination in Krasny Bor. He was proposed for both medals by cavalry general Philipp Kleffel.

Returned to Spain on June 21, 1943 In the Spanish civil war fought in nationalist army.

Born in Algeciras, he was married and father of 4 sons He died in 1951 at the age of 42, victim of an hepatitic infection.
