“Up until now Leutnant Georg Seelmann has achieved 36 aerial victories over the course of many fearsome aerial battles, during which he led his Staffel into battle in an exemplary fashion. He has also heavily influenced the ground war by flying numerous ground attack sorties against the enemy. In this way he brought significant relief and support to a friendly Panzer-Division while it was engaged in combat.”
