Biography

At the end of 1943, he operated for the French Resistance between Ambérieu, Chambéry and Culoz and he worked in liaison with the maquis of the Ain region. Responsible for implementing the new transmission plans, he contributed to the development of radio links in the southern zone in France. It created a new network of transmissions of which he naturally becomed the head of network.

Hunted by the Gestapo and betrayed, the house of his assistant Henri Chapuis in Hauteville in the Ain region where he broadcasted, was surrounded by the Gestapo on January 4, 1944. As he had announced to his comrades, he committed suicide a revolver bullet in the head so as not to be caught alive and speak.
