Henricus was born on January 28th, 1911, the son of Johannes van Velthoven and Petronilla van der Pluijm. He was married to Margaretha Berende. On March 28th, 1945, the Germans arrived at his farm in the Biesbosch National Park, searching for someone in hiding. Henricus tried to escape, but they fired at him, hitting him in the neck. He died of his wounds on March 29th, 1945.
