Biography

22.09.1944: as a forward observer from the 12. Infanterie Division, he held out in a bunker on the Donnerberg Hill - a former command belonging to the Panzer Brigade 105 - despite his temporary capture by the US troops and directed the fires with such success it enabled the Donnerberg Hill to be recaptured during the battle for Aachen.
He personnaly destroyed a US tank with a panzerfaust.
