Napoleon-Stone Grünstadt

This monument in the Peterspark is a so called Napoleonstein.
From the area west of the Rhine, which went over in French hands in 1797, many of the residents were recruted for the army of Napoleon. After the wars, there was an active veterans-cult and monuments were erected by and to the veterans who had fought for Napoleon.
