Graves Prisoners of War Fort Lawton

Fort Lawton Military Cemetery contains the grave of the Italian prisoner-of-war Guglielmo Olivotto (or Guglieamo Olivotto). He was hanged during riots on 14 August 1944 by white soldiers who attacked the POW-barracks after an incident. Many other POWs were seriously injured.

The cemetery contains also the grave of a German POW from the Second World War. Albert Marquardt died of accidental poisoning in 1945.
