Kaunas Fortress - Fort VII

Fort VII was the first concentration camp in Nazi territory after the start of the war with the Soviet Union. Jews of Lithuania moved into this camp after orders on 29 June 1941.

As of September 1941, Fort VII turned into a POW camp for mostly Ukrainian soldiers (Stalag 336 or Stalag 336 F).

Nowadays Fort VII is also an educative museum, but it is only opened on Thursdays.
