Memorial Garden Laffaux

This memorial garden contains several monuments in memory of the First World War:

- General Estienne, the "father of the French tanks," and recalls that during the fighting on 5 and 6 May 1917, at the Laffaux mill, heavy tanks (32 Schneider and 16 Saint-Chamond) were used. when taking the mill of Laffaux.
- Pilot-Sergeant Georges Damez, squadron SM 106, who crashed in flames 400 meters from here on August 19, 1917, after a dogfight.
- Sergeant Maurice Thiriez, 9th Cuirassiers, who was killed here on May 7, 1917.
- Henri Dupouy, a teacher from Dax, who was killed here on 7 May 1917 at the age of 25. He was a soldier in the 7th Colonial Infantry Regiment.
- The French and Allied stenographers who were killed in the First World War.
- The valor of the 4e, 9e and 11e Régiments de Cuirassiers in World Wat I.
- Captain René de Chasteignier, lieutenant Michel Wagner, second lieutenant Jean-Luc de Carbuccia, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the 9th Régiment de Cuirassiers à Pied who were killed in conquering the mill of Laffaux, on 5 May 1917.
