Belgian War Graves Esen

The churchyard of Esen contains graves of civilians murdered by the Germans in October 1918. One of these graves is a collective grave with 49 civilians.

The Belgian soldier MAECKELBERGH Ludovicus, who died on 18 May 1917, is also buried here.

On the churchyard of Esen is the grave of the French doctor Félix Chastang, victim of the First World War.
