Festung Krakau - Fort 49 1/4 "Grębałów"

Fort 49 1/4 "Grębałów" was constructed between 1872 and 1878 as part of the Austrian-Hungarian Festung Krakau. This fort was used by the Germans during the Second World War as munition storage and was turned into a stronghold in 1944. It participated in the defence of Kraków in January 1945 against the Red Army.

It is currently owned of an organisation.
