Festung Posen - Fort IX (Brünneck) Poznań

Fort IX was a component of fortress Poznań and is constructed in the period 1879 - 1880. It was modernised in August 1939 by the Polish army with two concrete casemates and an observation bunker. Together with Fort IXa, this fort was taken by the Red Army after heavy fighting in the begin phase of the Battle of Posen in 1945.

The fort today:
It is currently owned by an organisation.
