Memorial Crash 4 July 1944

This memorial commemorates the crash of the American B-17 "Touch the Button Nell II", 381th Bomb Group, 535th Bomb Squadron, 8th US Air Force, on this location on 4 July 1944. In the crash, 7 crewmembers were killed. The 2 other crewmembers were resques by the French Resistance.
