Memorial Lieutenant Arthur Martin-Leake

This memorial, within the St. Johns Church, commemorates Lieutenant Arthur Martin-Leake (1874 -1953), RAMC, who was awarded the Victoria Cross in the South-African War (2nd Boer War), and a second time (bar) in World War I. He was the first person with two VC’s and is buried in the churchyard of this church.
