Memorial Assault and Represaille

The following text is on the reminder plaque:

Assault and Represaille
on April 25, 1944
from this place became a number of men between the ages of 17 and 62 years
as hostages taken to concentration camp
P.A.D Amersfoort and from there to other camps in Germany

four of these hostages were immediately murdered in cold blood in the area
April 25, 1918
