Sea Bees Chapel, Plum

This chapel was built by US Navy Construction Battalion "Sea Bees" in 1942. It is located on the site of the first US Army camp in Noumea. The story is that the place had no name, and the servicemen called it "Plum" because of the plum trees on the beach.
