Romanian War Cemetery Cāmpia Turzii

This war cemetery was established in 1944 and contains the graves of 320 Romanian soldiers who fell in the Second World War.

There are also 212 unknown Russian soldiers and officers in 2 mass graves, as well as some twenty individual graves.

All of these soldiers, Russian and Romanian, fell during the Battle of Turda which took place from 5 September 1944 to 8 October 1944 between the Hungarian 2nd Army, the German 8th Army on one side and the Romanian 4th Army and the Russian 27th army.
