Memorial Giuseppe Celani

This plaque commemorates Giuseppe Celani. He had been creating false papers for members of the resistance who changed their identity. He ended up amongst the 335 Italians shot in the Ardeatine Massacre.

The inscription reads:

Al conte Giuseppe Celani
fucilato a 42 anni
nelle fosse Ardeatine
per la patria e la libertà
il 24 marzo 1944
i compagni di lotta
