Crash Site Lancaster LM592 Heuvelweg Walik

The memorial was dedicated on 22 June 2019, 75 years after the crash of Lancaster bomber LM592 (call sign KM-Q).

The bomber was from 44 Squadron RAF flying out of Dunholme Lodge.
The crew were:
Pilot Officer Edwin Albert Canty RAAF
Sgt Ronald Edgar Clay RAF
Flying Officer Walter Marshal Crook RAF
Flight Sgt Louis Joseph Patrick McCoy RAAF
Sgt Eric Norris RAF
Sgt Ernest George Scott RAF
Flying Officer John Reuben Vowles RAAF

All crew perished and are buried at Eindhoven (Woensel) Commonwealth War Cemetery.
