War Memroial Hakendover

The 1914-1918 war memorial at the church in Hakendover is inscribed:

"HAEKENDOVER / TO HIS CHILDREN / 1914-1918".

It is not entirely clear what exactly is meant by this. Indeed, there are indications that some of the people whose names appear on the monument did not die during the First World War, but many years later.

Also attached to the monument is a plaque commemorating the military victims of the Second World War.
The names on the monument: VANDEVELDE Kamiel, KINNAER Louis, MOENS Emiel.
