The battles where the regiment was involved in, are mentioned on the memorial: NAMUR – TERMONDE – YSER – MERCKEM – ZARREN – HANDZAME.

- The 1st Regiment of the 4th Infantry and the Battle of Merkem on 17 April 1918.

- The Unit Wireless Telegraphy of the Belgian Army who was responsible for the communication during the First World War.
