Mass Grave & Memorial Soviet Soldiers Veliky Novgorod

This grave contains the remains of 19 Soviet soldiers of the 59th Army. They fell between January and February 1944.

Named Eternal Flame of Glory, the memorial honors the victims of WW2 and celebrates the victory.
It opened on May 8, 1965. The fire was lit by a torch with fire from the Eternal Flame on the Field of Mars in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad).
