Dutch War Graves Roman Catholic Cemetery Baarle-Nassau

The Roman Catholic Churchyard in Baarle-Nassau contains a Dutch war grave with two resistance fighters. These men were the resistance fighters and military policemen Adrianus van Gestel and Gradus Gerritsen.

These resistance fighters, together with the Belgian resistance woman Maria Verhoeven were executed in the Galderse Heide in Breda.
They were involved in several resistance activities and the hiding of allies.

In Baarle-Hertog (Belgium) is a monument in honor of the three victims. See the article of the memorial.

The cemetery also contains the grave of soldier Wilhelmus Petrus Jacobs who perished in Rotterdam on May 14th 1940.
