German Radarposition Tiger - Kleinstunterstandand Für 6 Mann Type St. 668

Kleinstunterstand für 6 Mann, Type St. 668.

This bunker design dates from 1943 and was intended to save material. For example, compared to other bombproof bunkers, the walls are not 2 meters thick but 1.5 meters thick. There is also savings on expensive armor parts. Because there was only one entrance and it could get blocked, there was an emergency exit in the side wall. An Offener Beobachter was attached to the bunker. This observation and machine gun post was also referred to as Tobruk.

This bunker is part of the German radarposition Tiger from World War II. This site is now housed in a museum. More information about this museum can be found at https://bunkersterschelling.nl/
